In solutions we offer to our clients, we aim to use, as much as possible, software from "Open Source" projects. This is software which is both free and is released together with programming code - the source. The advantages are many, but mainly savings in long term administration and initial costs of implementation, the use of open standards and systems security.

Low costs of implementaion are due to the fact that the software itself does not cost anything. What clients pay for is expertise necessary to introduce certain solution. All other closed source, proprietary solutions, have an intial cost of software itself as well as further licensing costs , for example in case of software expansion such as adding of new users. As far as "Open Source" software is concerned such concept of linking number of software licences to the number of users does not exist. Therefore the cost of implentation of "Open Source" solution is one off and does not increase with further expansion.

The use of open standards means that it is easier to integrate open source based solution with other software, and general technical compatibility, one solution can be replaced by another without much hassle.

Increased security comes from a fact that everybody has access to source code. Any vulnerabilities are quickly discovered and corrected.
